American Airlines (AA/AAL) released a statement that it would launch 25 new routes in June 2019, the vast majority of them for the current summer season just, as the number of travelers is higher during this timespan. 23 of these new routes previously began on June sixth, seventh and eighth, while another two will begin on June 13th and June 15th from Philadelphia and New York to Halifax in Nova Scotia respectively
On June 7th, the airline held a celebration in Philadelphia's Terminal A for the launch of non-stop services to three European destinations: Dubrovnik (Croatia), Berlin (Germany) and Bologna (Italy). American Airlines now is the only airline to connect the United States with Dubrovnik and Bologna. As the American carrier stopped flying to Berlin in the mid-90s, the route is considered a resumption of the old route.
?The summer is the best time of year to get out and see the world, and we want to give our customers the most options with the best schedules to the places that matter most,? American vice president Vasu Raja said in a statement. ?With new destinations across the Atlantic like Bologna or across the U.S. like Kalispell, Montana, we want everyone to make summer memories that will last a lifetime.?
Dallas-Fort Worth likewise got another transoceanic route. Without precedent for the historical backdrop of both airports every day direct support of Munich (Germany) has been launched. American Airlines has just been serving Munich with a day by day flight from Charlotte after the flight had as of late been shifted from Philadelphia. The same occurred with Philadelphia to Frankfurt route, which was affected by the route network changes last March.
The airline recently announced it will launch 14 further flights in September 2019 when flights to warmer cities are in high demand. These flights include service to two new destinations, Huatulco and Acapulco in Mexico.
